What we look for when scouting for models

A model must be hard working, reliable, patient, good-natured, well-mannered and have a great deal of common sense along with a good sense of humour. Most models in Northern Ireland work on a ‘part time’ basis and can be a model alongside their jobs.

To make yourself stand out from the crowd you must show confidence, have a good attitude along with a friendly personality. It is okay to show your individual style but keeping it clean and simple always makes a good first impression at castings.

We encourage everyone to take care of their health as your complexion is your biggest asset as a model. We work closely with health and lifestyle coaches that will advise on what to do and what to avoid.

Models should work with their agent to build their portfolio and experience in front of the camera. As a model you will never stop learning as each test shoot will help you evolve and gain more experience. Please note that if you are developing a portfolio with your agency, you should never cut or dye your hair before consulting your booker.

It is not essential, but we encourage all models to learn how to drive as although most of the work is based in Northern Ireland, we represent our models in ROI as well. This allows for more opportunity to attend castings, go-sees, modelling shoots and catwalks which could be early starts and late finishes which public transport may not support.

Modelling for Children

There is not a lot of work for children here in Northern Ireland however, we do get requests for children for pr phoographic shots, some advertising work and TV commercials.

Children need to be confident and not shy as they will quite often have to take directions from photographers and directors who can be quite demanding at times. Parents or guardians will however be with them at all times and would be expected to chaperone them on the shoots.

If you have a child (5 years or over only) and you are interested in getting them started, then please fill in the online application form under the ‘apply’ tab.

Please note – no work is guaranteed for children – we can only get in touch if castings come in for their age group.

Below are the main areas of modelling in which we work and provide models. As a model, you may find that you are suited to more than one category.
